Crease Privacy Policy

Who we are

Crease is published by XenneX LLC, an independent software studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our website is xennex.app.

What we collect

Crease itself collects nothing. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't send your data to us. The one exception is Google Play's billing library (see Purchases), which talks to Google.

Everything you set up stays on your device:

  • Folders and settings: the folders you create, the apps in them, their looks and swipe gestures.
  • Images you choose: folder images you pick are copied into the app's private storage. Crease only sees the files you pick through the system file picker.
  • Pro and trial status: whether you've bought Pro and when your free trial started, so the app works offline.

Crease reads the list of apps installed on your device so you can put them in folders. That list never leaves your device.

Purchases

The Pro unlock is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Crease only asks Google Play whether Pro has been bought.

Google Play's billing library, built into Crease, sends Google your purchase history and its own diagnostic logs so purchases work. Google handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy. We don't receive it.

Backups

If Android backup is turned on, your folders, images and Pro status are included in your Google account backup so they move to a new phone. That backup is run and encrypted by Google. Crease has no servers.

Manual backups are files saved wherever you choose. We never receive them.

Feedback email

If you tap "Send feedback", Crease opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. It includes a short footer you can see and edit: app version, Free or Pro, Android version, device model and which home app you use. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and improve Crease. Delete requests go to the address below.

Who we share it with

  • Google Play: app distribution, purchases and billing diagnostics (see Purchases), plus, if you allow it, crash reports Google collects at the system level.

We do not sell or rent any data.

Children

Crease is not directed at children under 13.
